Thank you Tuvia Book for all you, and all the volunteers, are doing. Thank you Miranda for this inspiring drop. I have never been afraid to be, or felt it was/is a burden to be Jewish. I think I have always felt respectfully special - not in a boastful or superior way, lucky I guess. There was a time in high school when I visited a beautiful church and wondered what it meant to be saved (remember I was 17 and suffering through adolescence) and I went to a bible study group with a friend and when they served snacks that consisted of a dollop of neon cheese whizzed from a can I knew I needed to skedaddle back to my Jewish roots. Oh, and I will check out The Book’s book!
