I learned a lot about Estonia. It never entered my mind that that small nation, fairly obscured among larger nations, housed Jews. When I read about this or that place and its Jewish population, I always wonder what is their future: are Jews in such nations assimilating and casting aside their heritage? What is the rate of inter-marriage? Conversions?
Wow - what an interesting mix of discovery, joy, and sadness - you captured so much great detail and wide range of emotion in this issue. I really enjoyed reading it. Estonian sounds like a great language.
