Thank you for this. I both laughed “One who no longer cares for Susan Sarandon. That’s fine.” But also nodded along solemnly at SO much, in both lists. Glad to have found you here!
Far, far too late, but I am commenting now on this, and feel you on most of it, and look forward to someday meeting in person, and commiserating with our former like of Susan Sarandon, who went to my high school, so, y'know, even worse.
This resonated with me a lot 👉🏻 “One who just doesn’t feel comfortable in liberal spaces anymore, even though she’s a liberal at heart.” I feel incredibly betrayed and deeply let down. Liberal spaces are no longer safe spaces for Jews and it’s heartbreaking. 💔
Great post, you hit the nail right on the head. I don't know how you always manage to radiate such positive energy, but I sure do appreciate it! Todah rabah!
My mother, of blessed memory, was born in Vienna. She said that she believed that there was no difference between Jew & non-Jew. Then came the Anschluss. (Austria voting to join Nazi Germany), I can still hear her say: Boy, was I in for a surprise."

Never too late! When we meet I have to tell you about my friend's encounter with Susan Sarandon!

Yeah, I can relate.
