Well, I learned גלויה on Duolingo a while ago, but I only learned מעיין last week from watching a video on Lingopie. So at least it’s encouraging that even if I may never be fluent at least these things add up over time 😀.
Also, there’s this great book I read a while back on how connecting with Hebrew (without worrying about fluency) deepens your appreciation of Jewish culture, history, and identity. The whole book is kind of like a love letter to the Hebrew language, through the lens of Jewish history and anthropology. Check it out, I think you’d really like it. It’s called "Hebrew Roots, Jewish Routes," by Jeremy Benstein (note ben-, not bern-).
Miranda looks like 22, gorgeous, vivacious, a class act I'm glad to know. She has the qualities of a news editor, could run a national column. Brad Bergmann
Happy birthday to my spark. Read this. Loved this, what I got out of it was ranunculus. At first I thought “who knew” this was your fav flower, then quickly I realized the double entendre you gifted us - you are on a “roll” with words that start with R and “Ran” is our nickname for you. You clever beauty. Love ya pumpkin head!
יום הולדת שמח! (happy birthday!)
Also, I believe מעיין means a spring (as in the water kind), so that’s another cool connection with Drop!
Glad you had a nice trip to Croatia, pics look great!
Shabbat shalom!
Thank you! You’re right - I can’t believe I hadn’t made that water connection before 😁

שבוע טוב!
Thanks for the reminder to use Lingopie - I've heard tov things!
And that sounds like a great book. I've been asked by non-Jews before why I'm learning Hebrew. They don't ~get it~
Happy Birthday! I love how you share deeply with grace and honesty 🤗❤️
